The Training Yard

Before riders enter competition they spend time in the training yard developing skills, judgement and confidence.

Innovation requires similar preparation.

The Training Yard contains practical tools and reflective essays designed to help innovators understand more deeply and act on what they now perceive their opportunity is to navigate complex systems successfully.

Some resources are intended for immediate use. Others are intended to develop perception and understanding over time.

Choose a path:

Rider Aids
Practical tools that support abstraction, articulation and alignment. These aids are designed to help innovators communicate ideas, build relationships, understand systems and navigate common challenges encountered on the course.

Schooling Essays
Short essays and reflections that explore leadership, innovation and systems thinking in greater depth. Their purpose is not to provide a methodology, but to develop judgement, capability and understanding through observation and experience.

Return to the Racecourse
Observation exercises that help sharpen perception. By revisiting scenes from the Racecourse, innovators learn to recognise patterns, signals and behaviours that often remain hidden in plain sight.
